WILMINGTON, North Carolina – A close-up view of the popular Riverfest festivities, complete with the Invasion of the Pirates Lighted Boat Parade and spectacular fireworks over the Battleship USS North Carolina, benefits those who purchase tickets to the “Rendezvous On The River” celebration on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Sponsored by the UNCW Seahawk Club to benefit athletic scholarships, the event, which runs from 6-10 p.m., will be held at the Cameron-Holloman-McCarley House at 510 Surry Street. The scenic location is situated along the Cape Fear River near the base of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.

Tickets are $60 each and $100 per couple and must be purchased by Sept. 30, 2013. The cost includes free parking, live music by Carl Newton and the 5th Avenue Band, food and a front row seat to the Riverfest events. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Charlie Macgrooders and the Piggly Wiggly Deli.
