|Seahawk Bats Silent In 2-1 Loss|
DAVIDSON, North Carolina – UNCW’s Mat Batts tied his career-high with 11 strikeouts in a complete game effort, but Davidson’s Ryan Lowe won a pitcher’s duel, 2-1, in college baseball action on Friday at Wilson Field.
The win snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Wildcats, who improved to 9-19. The Seahawks, meanwhile, dropped their second straight outing to fall to 21-10. It was just the second time this season UNCW has dropped back-to-back games.
Lowe (3-4) allowed just one run on six hits and five walks in seven-plus innings.
Batts (4-2) was saddled with the loss, allowing two runs on five hits and a pair of walks.
Andrew Barna slammed his team-leading seventh homer leading off the second for Davidson.
Michael Zeblo earned his first save of the season despite walking three in the ninth.

How it happened: Davidson scored once in the second on Barna’s homer to center and again in the third when Andrew Pope tripled to right to open the third and scored one batter later on a ground ball to shortstop.
