WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Kyle Barbour and Ashley Wybersky won the Hammer and 5,000 meters, respectively, as UNCW jumped out to leads in the men's and women's meets on Friday at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.

For Barbour, he used a career-best mark of 177-9 to win the event while Wybersky topped the collegiate field by over 30 seconds in winning her event.

Also adding second-place finishes for the Seahawks were Clarissa Perkins (Hammer) and Shelby Hall and Aerial Chatman won the women's and men's Long Jump, respectively.

The meet concludes with a full day of activity on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. with the High Jump. The track portion will being at noon with the 4x100.

The Seahawks ask that those attending to please bring canned foods for donation to Wilmington's food banks. There will be a receptacle at the entrance to the Greene Track & Field Complex.
