Reilly, Blank Reach Finals At WFU Invite

Release: 10/13/2012 WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - Sophomore Michael Reilly reached the finals of his singles and doubles bracket and senior Kosta Blank advanced to the finals of his singles draw to highlight UNCW's play Saturday in the Wake Forest Fall Tennis Invitational at the WFU Tennis Complex. Play wraps up Sunday with doubles matches beginning at 9 a.m. and singles starting at 10 a.m. Reilly, from Raleigh, N.C., will face Furman's Matt Browne in the championship of the C Singles flight after knocking off Richmond's Jesse Feder, 6-1, 6-2, in the semifinals. He also advanced to the finals of the B Doubles bracket with partner Kaue Pereira and will face teammates Pedro Mol and Zach Hublitz tomorrow. Blank, won his third straight match in B Singles to make the championship round. He outlasted Old Dominion's Wesley Barett, 6-2, 3-6, 6-0, on Saturday and will battle Wake Forest's Sam Bloom in the finals. |
