Welcome to the first installment of the summer baseball report as we take a look at what the Seahawks are doing in the various summer leagues throughout the nation.

Jordan Ramsey (Cotuit Kettleers/Cape Cod League) - In four appearances, Jordan has a 1-0 record with a 1.93 ERA. He's fanned six over 9 1/3 inninigs while allowing six hits and a walk. Against Brewster, he earned the win with 3 2/3 innings of shutout baseball.

Hunter Ridge (Asheboro Copperheads/Coastal Plain League) - After joining the club late due to the NCAA tournament, Ridge has appeared in 20 games and is hitting .295 with a homer and three doubles.

Luke Dunlap (Columbia Blowfish/Coastal Plain League) - Dunlap has appeared in six games and is hitting .190 with two runs scored.

William Prince (Morehead City Marlins/Coastal Plain League) - Prince is tied for second in the league with five saves in six appearances. He's allowed six hits and walked three while striking out seven and has not allowed a run this season.

Blaze Tart (Wilmington Sharks/Coastal Plain League) - Tart continues his return from Tommy John surgery this summer with the hometown Sharks. In four starts, Tart's posted an ERA of 3.29. He's fanned 12 in 13 2/3 innings, but has allowed 13 hits and walked 11.

Justin Livengood (Wilmington Sharks/Coastal Plain League) - Livengood has continued where he left off from the 2012 season with a 1.17 ERA in five relief outings. Opponents are hitting .233 against him. He allowed a run and struck out one against Team USA in an exhibition.

Dillon Bass (North Adams SteepleCats/New England Collegiate League) - In eight games, Bass is hitting .158 in 19 at bats with a double and four runs batted in.

Christian MacDonald (North Adams SteepleCats/New England Collegiate League) - MacDonald's made three appearances, including one start, totaling 7 1/3 innings. He's compiled a 3.68 ERA with three strikeouts.

Michael Bass (Bethesda Big Train/Cal Ripken League) - In 15 games Bass is hitting .210, but has posted an on base average of .364 with 14 walks. He's swiped seven bases and scored 16 runs.

Luis Renvill (Front Royal Cardinals/Shenandoah Valley League) - Renville has enjoyed a breakout summer thus far, leading the Cardinals with a .318 batting average with 21 hits in 66 at bats. He's homered, tripled and doubled three times while knocking in 14 runs. He's committed just three errors in 98 chances between second base and shortstop.

Corey Dick (Front Royal Cardinals/Shenandoah Valley League) -Dick is second to Renvill on the club with a .302 average and he's tied for the team lead with two homers. He's compiled a .451 on base average with 18 walks.

Ryan Mayhew (Front Royal Cardinals/Shenandoah Valley League) - Mayhew has struck out a staggering 15 batters in just 7 2/3 innings, but has totaled a 7.04 ERA thanks to nine hits allowed and eight walks issued. He's striking out over 17 batters per nine innings.
