WILMINGTON, N.C. - Former UNC Wilmington runner Laura Rhoads has been named to the Colonial Athletic Association's Silver Anniversary cross country team.

      Rhoads was included on a list of 25 former CAA cross country standouts as part of the league's Silver Anniversary celebration. The CAA is recognizing teams in 21 championship sports, with the squads being selected by a panel of current and former head coaches.

      Rhoads, originally from Lynchburg, Va., was the CAA's Cross Country Athlete-of-the-Year in 1995. She captured first place at the 1995 CAA Cross Country Championships with a time of 17:38 after collecting All-CAA honors in 1994 with an 11th place finish.
