Individual Sports

During the Playing Season

·         Maximum four hours per day and 20 hours per week;

·        One required day off per week (in-season only); (Excluding postseason competition)

·         All competition counts as three hours.

Outside the Playing Season

·         Two required days off per week during academic year;

·        Maximum eight hours per week required weight training, conditioning and individual skill instruction;

·       Not more than two of the eight hours per week may be spent on individual skill-related workouts;

·        Skill Instruction: More than four student-athletes from the team may be involved in skill-related instruction with their coaches from September 15 through April 15.  Prior to September 15 and after April 15 no more than four student-athletes from the same team may be involved in skill-related instruction with their coach(es) at any one time in any facility;

·        Exam Period: All athletically related activities outside the playing season are prohibited one week prior to the beginning of the final exam period through the conclusion of each student-athlete’s final exams.

Baseball

During the Playing Season

·         Maximum four hours per day and 20 hours per week;

·        One required day off per week (in-season only); (Excluding postseason competition)

·         All competition counts as three hours.

Outside the Playing Season

·        Maximum eight hours per week-required weight training, conditioning and individual skill instruction;

·         Two required days off per week during academic year;

·        Not more than two of the eight hours per week may be spent on individual skill-related workouts;

·        Skill Instruction: More than four student-athletes from the same team may be involved in skill-related instruction with their coaches from September 15 to one week prior to the final examination period for the fall term and from January 15 through April 15.  No more than four student-athletes may be involved in skill-related instruction with their coaches at any one time in any facility prior to September 15, from the opening day of classes of the institution’s second academic term to January 15 (for those institutions that begin classes prior to January 15) and after April 15;

·        Vacation Period: Required weight training, conditioning and skill related instruction permitted during an institution’s vacation period from January 15 to the first day of classes of the institution’s second academic term;

·        Exam Period: All athletically related activities outside the playing season are prohibited one week prior to the beginning of the final exam period through the conclusion of each student-athlete’s final exams.

Women’s Basketball

During the Playing Season

·         Maximum four hours per day and 20 hours per week;

·        One required day off per week (in-season only);  (Excluding postseason competition)

·         All competition counts as three hours.
