WILMINGTON, N.C. – Ten UNC Wilmington men’s basketball games will be televised on five different networks during the upcoming hoops campaign.
The Seahawks, 20-13 one year ago, make their 2008-09 television debut on Nov. 19 when they travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to battle Wake Forest in a game scheduled to be aired by Raycom Sports at Lawrence Joel Coliseum.
Coach Benny Moss and his club then make the first of five appearances on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) on Dec. 28 when Richmond makes its first visit to Trask Coliseum since leaving the CAA in 2001. UNCW and MASN reached an agreement last season to make the Baltimore-based network “The Official Cable Network” of the Seahawks.
UNCW will also have games aired on ESPN Regional, Comcast SportsNet and WSKY in the Tidewater region of Virginia in the course of the season.
The Seahawk TV Network will produce a pair of games that will be aired on MASN. They include the Richmond contest in late December and a Jan. 5 date against VCU at the Siegel Center in Richmond.
