Senior striker Sam Leger and junior midfielder Chris Murray were named second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association Thursday at the conference Awards Banquet in Norfolk. Freshman Tim Masters was named to the all-rookie squad.

Leger, the team’s leading scorer, set career highs this season with 10 goals and 22 points to pace the conference’s leading offense. The Arvada, Colo. Product has notched a pair of game-winning goals and ranks among UNCW’s all-time leaders in goals and games played.

Murray also has set new career-highs with six goals and a pair of assists for 14 points. Five of his goals came in conference play as the Seahawks fashioned a 4-4-3 mark. Murray earned conference player-of-the-week honors earlier this season after notching game-winning goals in consecutive games.

Masters, a rookie from Charlotte, N.C., is fifth on the squad with 10 points on four goals and two assists.

The Seahawks continue conference tournament action Friday at 7 p.m. against top seeded Old Dominion. The winner advances to the tournament championship Nov. 13 against the winner of the James Madison/Hofstra match. Kickoff for the title game is set for 2 p.m.
