BOSTON, Mass. – The Seahawks close out the regular season with a three-game series in Boston against Colonial Athletic Association rival Northeastern. The series is set to open on Thursday with a 3 p.m. start at Friedman Diamond.

While the Seahawks have clinched a spot in next week’s conference tournament, the Huskies need to win one game of the series to clinch a berth of their own. Hofsta and James Madison, along with the Huskies, are in the running for the final two spots. Hofstra has completed its season while James Madison visits Delaware.

UNCW carries a two-game winning streak into the series and is two games above .500 for the first time this season. The Seahawks completed a sweep of Campbell on Tuesday with a 3-0 win in Buies Creek, N.C. It was the second 3-0 win and two-hitter this season against the Camels. Six pitcher combined on the two-hit blanking on Tuesday.

The Seahawks own a 14-8-1 advantage in the NU series and stands at 5-6-1 at Friendman Diamond. This series will go a long way in determining seeding for the CAA tournament. William & Mary visits College of Charleston this weekend and both have clinched first day byes.
