WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW’s women’s swimming team and the diving program will compete in a slit event this weekend as the swimmers visit Campbell and the divers head to East Carolina.

The divers open the day with a 1 p.m. start against the Pirates while swimmers take on regional rival Campbell in a 2 p.m. start.

The women’s swimming program returns to the pool for the first time since dropping a meet to visiting Virginia Tech last weekend at the Seahawk Natatorium. Hannah Stephenson and Jenson Engen combined to win three individual events.

The Seahawks have never lost to the Camels, holding a 7-0 advantage with all meets being held at the Seahawk Natatorium. This will be the first meet in the series at Campbell.

The diving program closes out its regular season before heading to the Colonial Athletic Association Championships later in February in College Park, Md.

Freshman Allen Crosby returned to the boards against Virginia Tech and posted a season-high in the 3-meter board with a score of 326.48 points.

The Seahawks cap their regular season at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Feb. 8-9. The program will then begin preparations for the CAA Championships on Feb. 26-Mar. 1.
