WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW continued its climb up the national ranking charts this week as the Seahawks are receiving votes in both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers and USAToday/ESPN Coaches Polls released on Monday.

In the Coaches’ poll, the Seahawks aren’t ranked in the top 25, but are listed fifth overall among other schools receiving votes for the top-25.

The NCBWA poll has the Seahawks listed among others receiving votes for their top-30 poll.

Perfect game.com, meanwhile, has the Seahawks listed a team to watch for entering the poll.

In the RPI, which is used as a tool by the NCAA selection committee, UNCW was ranked 33rd nationally in the second report released on Apr. 2.

The Colonial Athletic Association has gotten off to a strong start in 2013 with William & Mary (22nd), Delaware (42) and Towson (57) joining the Seahawks in the top 60. Northeastern (103) was just outside the top 100.
