BROWNS SUMMIT, North Carolina – Junior Lori Beth Adams posted a two-over-par 74 in the final round to earn a share of seventh place as the Bryan National Collegiate came to a close Sunday on the Champions Course of the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center.

Adams, a native of Burlington, N.C., earned her sixth top 10 finish of the season as she finished part of a six-way tie for seventh with a three-round total of four-over-par 219 (74-71-74).

Sophomore Mattie Tobey paced the Seahawks on Sunday with a one-over-par 73 to earn a share of 50th place with a tournament scorecard of 76-79-73=228. Sophomore Mallory Warrick (79-80-79=238/79th), junior Megan Burnham (85-80-81=246/86th) and senior Danielle Lamy (82-84-88=254/88th) completed UNCW’s entry.  

Georgia’s Emilie Burger fired a three-under-par 69 on Sunday to claim a one-stroke victory with a five-under-par tournament scorecard of 72-70-69=211. Virginia’s Brittany Altomare took second with a 70-70-72=212 finish while South Carolina’s Sarah Schmelzel took third with a 71-73-71=215 result.

The Seahawks posted a team total of 307 on Sunday to claim 16th place with a three-day total of 311-310-307=928, one shot off the pace of 15th place UNC Greensboro (316-306-305=927).

No. 15 Virginia completed its wire-to-wire victory, carding a seven-over-par 295 on Sunday to post a four-shot victory with a tournament scorecard of 281-293-295=869. No. 8 Arkansas claimed second with a 54-hole result of 294-289-290=873 while Wake Forest took third with a 54-hole total of 297-299-289=885.

UNCW completes its spring schedule April 6-7 when it hosts the UNCW Seahawk Classic at the River Landing Golf Course in Wallace.
