Seahawk Invitational (Wilmingon, N.C.)
WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The Seahawks host the third annual Seahawk Invitational beginning on Mar. 24 with two rounds and the the final round will be played on Mar. 25. All three rounds will be played on the Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall. Highlighting the field in this tournament is 21st-ranked Kent State, which boasts a pair of top-50 golfers in Corey Conners (20) and Taylor Pendrith (41st). Also in the top-50 is regional rival Coastal Carolina, who is 46th and is led by Sebastian Sodeberg (71). Other top-100 programs competing are UNCW (97), Davidson (95), Ohio State (79) and East Carolina (74). Previous winners of the tournament include host UNCW in 2011 and Augusta State in 2010. The Seahawks finished ninth at the Bandon Dunes Championship earlier this month as Dylan Harris posted a career-best 24th-place finish.
