WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The Seahawks hit the road this weekend for the Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which begins on Friday and runs through the weekend.

The Seahawks are coming off a sweep of the annual UNCW Seahawk Invitational where Meena Reid and Clarissa Perkins both set school records in the 100 meters and Shot Put, respectively.

Reid, who is ranked sixth in the East Region through two meets, will also compete in the 200 meters, an event where she also holds the UNCW record. Perkins, meanwhile, is also slated to compete in the Hammer and Discus Throws. She is ranked second in the East in the Shot Put, fifth in the Discus and 10th in the Hammer.

On the men's side, Jeremy Johnson and Cameron White are ranked fifth and eighth, respectively in the 100 meters in the East, and both are expected to compete in the that event while White will also run in the 200 meters.

In the Jumps, Aerial Chatman will compete in the Triple Jump. Chatman is ranked second after posting a mark of 49-5 at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.

David Lindsay, who qualified for the NCAA First Round last spring in the 110 Hurdles, will compete in the 100 meters as well as the 110H. His time of 14.41 seconds is second best in the East.

The Seahawks will visit Columbia, S.C., on Mar. 22-23 for the Weems Baskin Invitational.
