WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The 16 members of the UNCW men's basketball team and the coaching staff became acquainted with area print, electronic and on-line media Tuesday afternoon during the team's annual "Media Day" meet-and-greet at Trask Coliseum.

The Seahawks and third-year head coach Buzz Peterson officially begin practice next Saturday, Oct. 13, in preparation for a challenging slate of 30 games in 2012-13.

The UNCW men will face in-state opponent N.C. Wesleyan in an exhibition game Nov. 3 before the regular season opener Nov. 11 at home against two-time Big South Conference champion UNC Asheville.

CAA Player-of-the-Year candidate Keith Rendleman, a senior forward, will anchor the Seahawks this season. The Iron Station, N.C., product averaged a double double of 15.3 points and 10.0 rebounds one year ago en route to First-Team All-CAA honors.

Season tickets for UNCW's 15 home games are still available by calling the UNCW Athletic Ticket Office at 910-962-3233.
