WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Seahawks head to Atlanta this weekend and will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the George Griffin Track & Field Facility. The meet will be the final meet prior to NCAA Regionals.

The Seahawks have five athletes already in position to compete in the NCAA First Round in Jacksonville, Fla., but with several others on the cusp, the meet will allow them to improve their marks to qualify for the regional.

Senior sprinter Meena Reid will run in both the 100 and 200 meters. In the 100, she ranks 63rd with a time of 11.68 and will need to move into the top 48 times to qualify for the NCAA regional.

Freshman Margaret Edwards ranks 39th in the East in the High Jump and will look to improve her mark in the event.

On the men’s side, Dylan Skinner, a senior, is 49th in the 800 meters and hopes to move up by improving on his season-best time of 1:49.71.

In the Hurdles, Matthew Foster and Hezekiah Ward will compete in the 110 and 400 Hurdles while Cody Love will run in the 400 Hurdles only. Foster is 75th in the 110 Hurdles while Love is 28th in the 400 Hurdles.

Andy Jung and Kevin Webb will compete in the Pole Vault. Neither is ranked in the event.

The Long Jump will feature a trio of Seahawks, including Brent Campbell (59th), Cameron Walton (41st) and Nathan Chronister (75th).
