WILMINGTON, North Carolina – On the heels of his fourth top-10 finish of his senior season, UNCW’s Payne McLeod was named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Golfer-of-the-Week on Wednesday for the third time in 2013-14 and the second time in as many weeks.
McLeod carded a one-under-par score of 211 earlier this week at the River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C. It was his second consecutive tournament that he’s finished under-par, following a seventh-place finish at the Irish Creek Collegiate on Apr. 4-5.
McLeod leads the Seahawks with a 73.2 stroke average and is ranked second in the conference among individual players.
The Seahawks compete this weekend at the NC State Spring Open at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
