WILMINGTON, North Carolina – South Carolina claimed tournament honors by 19 strokes over second-place East Tennessee State after rain forced the cancelation of the final round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday.

The Gamecocks bolted out to a five-stroke lead after one round and coasted to the win.

USC’s Will Starke rode a tournament-record setting performance to medalist honors. Starke, along with Davidson’s Sam Echikson, carded an opening round eight-under-par 64, setting the tournament’s single round record. He then set a new standard for 36 holes when he turned in a two-round total of 137.

UNCW finished seventh with freshman Preston Harrington leading the lineup, tying for 24th overall.
