WILMINGTON, North CarolinaRyan Foster combined with two other Blue relievers for 5.2 innings of no-hit, shutout relief as Blue won its third straight game with a 9-3 victory in the Blue-Gold Series on Tuesday at Brooks Field.

Foster (1-0) picked up the win, striking out five and walking three in 3.1 innings of relief.

Starter Evan Phillips (0-1) allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits and two walks over three innings for Gold. The Gold defense committed five errors on the game.

Corey Dick was one of five Blue players to collect two hits on the game and he knocked in two runs. Josh Abshire also added two hits and drove in two.

Blue starter Nick Monroe fanned four, walked four and allowed three runs in 3.1 innings.

The fourth game of the series is set for 6 p.m. on Friday.
