WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The Seahawks conclude their brief two-game homestand tonight with Drexel.

As the conference season approaches the midpoint, the Seahawks find themselves tied for second with nationally-ranked Delaware, each with six points. The Blue Hens, though, have a game in hand on the Seahawks, having played just twice and winning those games.

Drexel is in fourth with four points on a 1-0-1 record in the league. Drexel enters tonight’s game winless in its last four with losses to Penn, Temple and Princeton. DU, though, forced a scoreless draw with Colonial Athletic Association frontrunner Northeastern last weekend.

UNCW topped visiting James Madison, 1-0, in a hotly contested game last Saturday. Jack Ward struck home the game-winner for the second time this season. Jamie Dell recorded his team-leading fourth assist, tying his career-high, on the goal.

Sam Williams continued his solid play in goal, recording his second shutout in five outings and making a pair of point-blank saves to keep the Dukes at bay.

Dell moved to the front of the squad with seven points on the season, leads the Seahawks with four assists and is tied for the team-lead with two goals.

UNCW visits UNC Chapel Hill on Oct. 22 and Delaware on Oct. 26 before returning to the UNCW Soccer Stadium to close out the regular season with consecutive home games against William & Mary (Nov. 2) and Northeastern (Nov. 6).
