WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Juniors Valtteri Halonen and Hannah Stephenson were named Colonial Athletic Association Swimmers-of-the-Week after outstanding performances last weekend in their dual meets.

For Halonen it was the second time this season that he’s been named CAA Swimmer-of-the-Week. The backstroke standout won both the 100 Butterfly and 200 Backstroke in the Seahawks’ dual meet win over Old Dominion. He also swam legs on the winning 200 and 400 Medley Relays.

Stephenson became UNCW’s first winner on the season after taking first in a pair of individual events and swimming on a winning relay. She won both the 100 and 200 Backstrokes and swam a leg of the first-place 200 Medley Relay.
