WILMINGTON, North Carolina – With the playoffs in full swing, get your baseball fix by coming out to Brooks Field on Oct. 8, when the UNCW Seahawks host the Czech Republic National Team at Brooks Field. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased for $5 dollars at the gate on the night of the game. Students with valid ID cards are admitted free.

The Czech Republic squad is made up of players of Czech heritage that are playing at various levels of organized baseball ranging from junior college and NCAA programs to the minor level of Major League Baseball.

UNCW, which is in the midst of fall workouts, returns a bulk of last season’s NCAA regional team, including its entire starting rotation. Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher-of-the-Year Mat Batts leads that staff along with junior righthander Jordan Ramsey.

The Seahawks begin their annual Blue/Teal World Series on Oct. 18. Full schedule for the series is online at UNCWsports.com.
