- Williams returned to the starting lineup last week and posted a pair of solid outings, posting a 1-0-1 mark as the Seahawks tied longtime rival Campbell and topped Charleston in the conference opener for both teams. Against Campbell, Williams posted five saves while facing 18 shots and against CofC, he recorded his first shutout of the season while making three saves. For the week, he posted an .875 save percentage and 0.45 GAA.

The Seahawks moved above .500 for the season behind their third road win of the season, a 1-0 win over the Col. of Charleston … Earlier in the week, David Sizemore’s goal in the 62nd minute helped UNCW earn a tie against longtime rival Campbell … It was just the second time in the 48-game series that a game ended in a draw … Against CofC, Jack Ward’s first goal of the season proved to be the difference as his strike just 2:50 into the second half was the game’s lone goal … Jamie Dell was credited with an assist on the play, it was his second helper of the season … The Seahawks visit Duke on Tuesday before wrapping up their current three-game road stretch at Hofstra on Saturday … Sizemore’s goal against Campbell lifted him into a three-way tie for the team lead with two goals, joining Colin Bonner and Nathaniel Goodwin … Defensively the Seahawks continue to be strong, allowing a 1.19 goals against average ... For Ward, it was his second career goal against CofC after also netting one last season.
