WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Two home tournaments, visits to several familiar stops and a trip to California make up the 2013-14 schedule for the UNCW women's golf program, Head Coach Cindy Ho announced Thursday.

Entering her 12th season as head coach of the program, Ho’s squad will take part in a total of eight events during the season, with the schedule split evenly between four fall and four spring tournaments.

“Every year I try to give our program the best opportunities to play some of the top teams in the country,” said Ho. “We try to play a schedule that will prepare us to compete for both a conference title and for an NCAA regional. I feel that our schedule will help us do that.”

The Seahawks open the season with the Lady Paladin Invitational (Sept. 20-22) and continue their fall slate with visit to the Midwest for the Northwestern Windy City Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 1).

UNCW then returns to the Tar Heel State for its final two events of the fall, first taking part in the ECU Lady Pirate Intercollegiate (Oct. 7-8) before  hosting the 12th annual Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall (Oct. 25-27).

The spring schedule gets underway with the Burin/Wave Classic in Los Angeles (March 3-4) and also features return trips to the LSU Tiger Classic (March 21-23) and the Bryan National Collegiate (March 28-30).

UNCW completes its regular season schedule by hosting the UNCW Seahawk Classic at the River Landing Golf Club in Wallace (April 4-6).

The 2014 Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Golf Championships return to the Reserve Club at the St. James Plantation in Southport for the third straight season (April 18-20).

The 2014 NCAA Women's Golf Regionals will take place May 8-10 at three locations. The top eight teams and two individuals that are not part of an advancing team from each of the three regional sites will qualify for the 2014 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, slated for May 21-24 at the Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
