WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women’s track and field program has been recognized once again for its efforts in the classroom after being named an All-Academic team honors by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Seahawks combined for a 3.14 grade point average and were ranked fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association, which featured seven programs with All-Academic honors. The College of William & Mary paced the conference with a 3.36 GPA.
UNCW ran its current streak to five straight years with the All-Academic distinction, dating back to the 2009 campaign.
Nationally, 187 programs earned the designation by compiling at least a 3.00 GPA.
