HARRISONBURG, Virginia - The Seahawks open defense of their CAA championship on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. against Towson after the Tigers knocked off Northeastern in the tournament opener, 9-8, on Wednesday.

Mat Batts, the league's Pitcher of the Year, will make the start for the Seahawks while Towson's starter has yet to be announced.

The Seahawks captured their second straight regular season title last weekend and is the top-seed in the double-elimination, six-team tournament format.

Towson dealt the Seahawks their first series loss of the season in Towson earlier this season.
