NORMAN, Oklahoma – UNCW junior Lori Beth Adams carded a three-over-par 75 in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Central Regional Friday at the Jimmy Austin OU Golf Club.

Adams will enter Saturday’s final round part of a three-way a tie for seventh place with a 36-hole total of even par 144 (69-75). Oklahoma’s Emily Collins leads the individual field with a two-day total of seven-under-par 137 (67-70) while Mississippi State’s Ally McDonald is one shot back with a six-under-par total of 138 (69-69). Three players are four shots back of Collins in a tie for third at three-under-par.

Playing under sunny but windy conditions, Adams opened second round on the back nine and began the day by sinking a 15-foot putt on the 299-yard par four tenth hole for birdie.

Adams would remain at one-under through the remainder of the back nine, recording par on each of the next eight holes to make the turn with a 27-hole total of four-under-par.

On the front nine, Adams dropped back two strokes with a double bogey on the par three second before regaining a stroke with a six-foot birdie putt on the fourth to move back to even par.

A bogey on the par five fifth once again moved Adams back to one-over for the round. A double on the closing hole of the day, the 358-yard par four ninth, put her at even par for the tournament.

The final round of the 2013 NCAA Women’s Golf Central Regional begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m. EST. Adams will paired with fellow individual competitors Julia Roth (Central Arkansas) and Paige Spiranac (San Diego Sate) and begin the final round on the first hole at 9:25 a.m. EST. The top eight teams and two individuals not members of an advancing team will qualify for the 2013 NCAA Women’s Golf National Championships, May 21-24 at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
