TOWSON, MarylandCam Walton captured his first Colonial Athletic Association Long Jump championship with a mark of 24-5 3/4 feet to highlight UNCW’s outing on Friday on the first day of the conference championship meet at Unitas Stadium.

The Seahawks are fifth overall in the women’s meet and third on the men’s side. William & Mary leads both meets.

AJ Dow placed second in the men’s Javelin with a distance of 189-6 and earned All-CAA honors.

In the Hammer throw, Kyle Barbour (189-7) placed second in the men’s event and Dn Cherry (159-5) was third in the women’s. Both earned All-CAA honors.

In the men’s Pole Vault, Kevin Webb earned All-CAA honors with a third-place finish after vaulting 15-3.

The meet concludes on Saturday.
