WILMINGTON, North Carolina - The Seahawks return to Brooks Field this weekend for the first time since winning a pivotal conference series against Delaware in mid-April. Please note that Sunday’s game is an 11 a.m. start, not 2 p.m. as has been the case in recent series.

Since that series win, the Seahawks fashioned a 6-2 record during an eight-game road stretch that included wins at East Carolina, top-ranked North Carolina, a sweep at George Mason and a win at Towson.

Sophomore Luke Dunlap was honored on Monday as the Colonial Athletic Association’s Co-Player-of-the-Week after hitting .536 last week with a pair of home runs and 11 runs batted in. Dunlap also extended his career-long hitting streak to 15 games and completed the month of April hitting a searing .475.

In UNCW’s win at North Carolina, the Seahawks trailed by scores of 6-0 and 8-6 before mounting a comeback in the final three innings for the win. Tyler Molinaro delivered the big blow with a one-out, two-run homer to right center in the eighth inning to complete the comeback.

Kelly Secrest held the Tar Heels to one hit over five and 2/3 shutout innings for the win.
Northeastern comes into the weekend looking to improve its place in the conference standings after dropping two at home to Georgia State last weekend.

The Huskies own the top earned run average in the conference at 3.20 while the Seahawks are second at 3.56. NU is last in the conference with a .264 batting average.
