WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW softball team returns to conference play this weekend as it hosts James Madison in a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at Boseman Field.
The Seahawks and Dukes will open their weekend set with a doubleheader on Saturday before wrapping up the series with a single game on Sunday. Start time for both days is set for Noon.

The Norton Era Begins With A Win
The Seahawks gave first-year head coach Kristy Norton a victory in her UNCW debut, an 8-0 triumph over Detroit on Feb. 8 in the Seahawk Clash. Norton became the first UNCW head coach to win her inaugural game since Melissa Jarrell posted a 6-5 victory over Drexel to begin the 2002 season.

UNCW recently played the longest game in program history with a 12-inning contest at George Mason on March 30.
UNCW will travel to Georgia State April 12-13 for a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at Bob Heck Field. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday. Action on both day will begin at Noon.
