|UCF Snaps Seahawk Winning Streak, 5-2|
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UCF women’s tennis team won the doubles point and added four singles victories to trim UNCW, 5-2, in the opening match of a three-match home stand for the Seahawks Easter Sunday.
The Seahawks had their four-match winning streak snapped and now stand 10-6 on the season. The Knights raised their record to 12-5 in only the third all-time meeting between the two clubs.
UCF’s No. 1 doubles team of Genevieve Lorbergs and Josephine Haraldson defeated Olga Blank and Christine Kharkevitch, 8-5, in the first match off the court in doubles. After UNCW’s No. 3 tandem of Kelly Cameron and Miller Hales evened the doubles score, UCF’s No. 2 team of Courtney Griffith and Caroline Eberhart secured the point with a narrow 9-7 verdict over Angie Sekely and Alyssa Ritchie.
The Knights won the top three singles matches and added a win at No. 6 singles for the non-conference verdict.
Lorbergs increased the score to 2-0 after racing past Sekely, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 1 singles before Cameron cut the gap to 2-1 with a 6-3, 6-3 decision against Eberhart at No. 4 singles. Cameron hiked her singles record to 13-3 with the straight-set win.

Sofia Baptista’s 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 triumph over Kharkevitch at No. 6 singles closed out the match.
