BROWNS SUMMIT, North Carolina – Junior Lori Beth Adams carded a one-under-par 71 on Saturday to move into the top 10 after two rounds of the Bryan National Collegiate on the Champions Course of the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center.

Adams’ one-under result, her sixth round of par or lower this season, moved the Burlington, N.C., product into a three-way tie for ninth with a 36-hole result of one-over-par (74-71=145).

Sophomore Mattie Tobey is tied for 61st at 12-over-par 155 (76-79) while classmate Mallory Warrick is part of a tie for 78th (79-80=159). Junior Megan Burnham (85-80=165/T-87th) and senior Danielle Lamy (82-84=166/89th) completed UNCW’s lineup.

The Seahawks carded a team total of 310 on Saturday to remain in 16th place in a tournament scorecard of 621 (311-310).  

No. 15 Virginia maintained its team lead after posting a five-over-par total of 293 in the second round to build a nine-shot lead with a two-day result of 574 (281-293). No. 6 Arkansas is in second (294-289=583) while No. 7 Vanderbilt is three shots back of the Razorbacks in third (286-300=586).

Virginia’s Brittany Altomare posted her straight round of two-under-par 70 to take over the individual lead with a 36-hole total of four-under-par 140 (70-70). Georgia’s Emilie Burger is in second at two-under-par (72-70=142) while Arkansas’ Gabriela Lopez (72-71=143) and first round leader Elizabeth Brightwell (68-75=143) are tied for third at one-under.

Final round action at the Bryan National Collegiate begins Sunday with a shotgun start slated for 8:30 a.m.
