WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women’s golf team takes to the course for the second straight week as it competes in the Bryan National Collegiate this weekend.  

The 54-hole event, co-hosted by UNC Greensboro and Wake Forest, will take place March 29-31 on the par 72, 6,386 yard layout of the Champions Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. The first two rounds are scheduled to begin at 8:20 a.m. on Friday and Saturday with three player waves teeing off from holes No. 1 and 10. Sunday’s final round will get underway with a shotgun start slated for 8:30 a.m.

The Seahawks are once again part of a talented tournament lineup as eight top 25 programs, including top 10 squads Duke (2nd), Florida (5th), Arkansas (6th), Vanderbilt (7th) and UNC Chapel Hill (9th)highlight the 17-team field. Auburn, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan State, Northwestern, NC State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia with join UNCW in the tournament lineup.

Junior Lori Beth Adams, named CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week for the fifth time this season on Wednesday, will once again anchor the lineup for the Seahawks. Adams recorded her sixth top 15 finish of the season with a 14th-place finish at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic last weekend and continues to lead the team with a 74.21 stroke average.

Senior Danielle Lamy (83.46), junior Megan Burnham (83.11) and sophomores Mattie Tobey (80.44) and Mallory Warrick (84.40) will also be in the lineup for veteran Head Coach Cindy Ho.

UNCW completes the spring portion of its 2012-13 schedule as it hosts the 2013 UNCW Seahawk Classic, April 6-7, at the River Landing Golf Course in nearby Wallace, N.C.
