Carolina - Ryan O'Connor won the 800 meters and Meena Reid set two school
records to highlight UNCW's outing on Saturday at the Shamrock Invitational in
Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Reid broke her own school records in the 100 and 200 meters when
she clocked in at 11.68 and 24.22 seconds, respectively. She finished third in
the 100 meters and fourth in the 200.
In the men's 100 meters, Jeremy Johnson finished seventh.
O'Connor, meanwhile, posted a time of 1:53.22 in winning the
800 meters.
In the men's Pole Vault, Brad Holowell placed in a tie for
fourth with a height of 14-7.25 feet and Harrison Booth took second in the "B"
Pole Vault. On the women's side, Carolyn Edler finished sixth.
Aerial Chatman jumped 49-9.75 feet and finished in a tie for
second in the Triple Jump.
The Seahawks return to action in Columbia, S.C., on March
22-23 at the Weems Baskin Invitational.
