WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Student-athletes from several UNCW teams turned out early Wednesday to help New Hanover County Special Olympics officials conduct their Basketball Skills Day on campus.

Representatives from the men's basketball, volleyball, women's tennis, track/cross country and men's soccer teams helped organizers engage more than 200 participants in basketball-related activities in Trask Coliseum and Hanover Hall.

The participants attempted various basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and defense, and were treated to refreshments following the fun-filled morning event.
