CLEMSON, South Carolina - Aerial Chatman captured first in the Triple Jump while Hailey Blackburn and David Lindsay won the 60 meters and the 60-meter hurdles, respectively, to lead UNCW on the final day of the Tiger Paw Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex on Saturday.
Chatman used a distance of 49-00 1/4 to win the event for the first time this indoor season.
Blackburn, a sophomore, won her heat with a time of 7.53 seconds and later topped the field in the event, tying her career-best time with a mark of 7.52, which also is second fastest in the program's history.
Lindsay, a senior, won the 60-meter hurdles for the first time this indoor season with a season-best time of 8.19.
Senior Jeremy Johnson, meanwhile, placed third in the 60 meters in a time of 6.89 seconds.
In the women's 3,000 meters, Rachel Quinn (10:26.60) and Ashley Wybersky (10.26.69) finished sixth and seventh, respectively.
The Seahawks conclude their indoor season next weekend when they compete at the Virginia Tech Invitational in Blacksburg, Va.
