CLEMSON, South Carolina - UNCW senior Kyle Barbour set a career-best in the Weight Throw to finish second and highlight the opening day of the Tiger Paw Invitational on Friday at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex.

Barbour used a throw of 60-8 feet to finish second and eclipse his previous best of 56-9 1/4 set last February.

Freshman Emily Kimble also had a second-place finish for the Seahawks when she tied for second in the High Jump with a mark of 5-5.

Junior sprinter Meena Reid finished fifth in the 60 meters with a time of 7.53 seconds.

The meet concludes on Saturday.
