Tanner Nets Third CAA Swimming Honor

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Senior Carly Tanner has been named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Swimmer-of-the-Week after leading UNCW to a non-conference dual meet win over Wingate last weekend.

Tanner, who earned the award for the third time this season, won two individual events and swam on a pair of winning relays. She set a pool record in winning the 100 Breaststroke (1:04.26) and won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 52.40.

Tanner leads the women's program with 12 individual event wins this season and is ranked in the CAA top-10 in four events, including the 50 Free and 100 Free where she is ranked number one and two, respectively.

The Seahawks host NC State on Saturday for an 11 a.m. start.
