Men's Basketball Alumni Enjoy Company

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - A large gathering of former players, coaches and managers assembled in the Port City over the weekend for UNCW Men's Basketball Alumni Weekend, capped by contests and a game Saturday night at Trask Coliseum.
Tony Anderson, Class of 1984, won the free throw shooting contest and Brett Blizzard, Class of 2003 and the school's all-time leading scorer, torched the nets for first place in the 3-point shooting contest.
The group enjoyed a golf outing early Saturday at Cape Fear National Golf Course before listening to remarks from Head Coach Buzz Peterson, Chancellor Gary L. Miller, former Head Coach Mel Gibson and former standout Danny Davis. The day concluded with a hotly contested game called by longtime official Larry Honeycutt and Bryan Ahmad.
