WILMINGTON, North
Carolina - UNCW visits Delaware this weekend for a Colonial Athletic
Association pod meet with William & Mary and James Madison's women's team
as the Seahawks look to rebound from last weekend's setbacks at Duke.
The Seahawks dropped dual meets to Florida State, Virginia
Tech and Duke last weekend in Durham, but had several strong finishes,
including junior Gabe Thran, who was honored as the CAA men's
swimmer-of-the-week. Thran posted the league's second-best time in the 200
Freestyle.
The meet opens on Nov. 3, at 9:30 a.m,. and concludes the
following day with an 11 a.m., start time.
UNCW boasts two athletes who have posted the top time in an
event among CAA schools. Senior Carly Tanner owns the top times in the 100 Free
and 100 Breast while senior Stephen Conrad has done the same in the 100
Butterfly. Conrad's time of 49.78 ranks 48th nationally heading into the
weekend.
