DURHAM, North Carolina - Duke, Virginia Tech and Florida State swept UNCW on both the men and women's side in a non-conference swimming meet on Saturday in Durham.

The Seahawk men (2-4) saw their modest two-meet winning streak halted while the women dropped to 0-7.

Senior Carly Tanner posted UNCW's top individual finish of the meet when she finished third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:05.22.

Sophomore Valtteri Halonen added a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 100 and 200 Backstroke events for the Seahawk men.

UNCW's men's 400 Free Relay of sophomore C.J. Fiala, junior Joe Gallene and Gabe Thran and senior Michael Williams took second in the final event of the meet with a time of 3:04.90

The Seahawks return to Colonial Athletic Association action on Nov. 3-4 at Delaware for a conference pod meet with William & Mary and the James Madison women's team.
