WILMINGTON, North
Carolina - The Seahawks conclude their fall schedule this weekend at
the Wolfpack Intercollegiate in Raleigh, N.C. The team is looking to build upon
a pair of top-three finishes, including a third-place showing against a nationally-ranked
filled field at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate last weekend.
Junior Payne McLeod was
honored by the CAA as its golfer-of-the-week after his impressive third-place
finish at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. It was his second straight
top-three finish and he beat seven golfers from GolfStat.com's top-100, including
Jace Long of Missouri, who is ranked third. The weekly honors was McLeod's second
of the fall.
Adding top-20 finishes were
senior Thomas Bass and freshman Jens Geweke, who placed 11th and 15th, respectively.
The Seahawks will send the
same lineup to the course for the fifth straight week and junior Josh Woodfox
will make his second appearance of the season as an individual.
The tournament will consist
of 36 holes on Friday and 18 on Saturday.
