- The Seahawks face a daunting stretch when they take on three NCAA tournament programs in James Madison (Oct. 10), Old Dominion (Oct. 13) and Georgia State (Oct. 17). All three matches will be played at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

Head Coach Aidan Heaney owns a record of 100-103-23 in 11+ seasons with the Seahawks.He's second to Calvin Lane (129) in most wins by a UNCW coach.
The Seahawks had four players sign professional contracts off the 2011 squad. Brandon Miller (Rochester), Daniel Roberts (Wilmington), Christian Davidson (Wilmington) and Josh Boone (Dayton). All played in the United Soccer League.



Seahawks Conclude Homestand With Georgia State
The Seahawks cap their three-game homestand with Georgia State on Wednesday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. UNCW dropped the first two matches of the stretch, 2-1 in double overtime to James Madison and 3-1 against #12 Old Dominion. UNCW visits Northeastern on Saturday as it finishes the regular season with two road games and a home date. The next home game will be the home finale against Towson on Oct. 27.

#12 Monarchs Take Result From Seahawks
A pair of second-half goals from Chris Harmon broke a halftime stalemate and lifted nationally-ranked Old Dominion to a 3-1 win over host UNCW in Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer action on Saturday at the UNCW Soccer Stadium. [ Story/Box Score ]

The Seahawks enter the week eighth overall and one spot out of a CAA tournament spot. Old Dominion and Georgia State are ineligible for the conference tournament in their final seasons with the conference. UNCW has games remaining with second-place Northeastern, sixth-place Towson, ninth-place Delaware and 10th-place Georgia State.

Heaney Nabs Win #100 At UNCW
With a 3-0 win at WIlliam & Mary last week, UNCW Head Coach Aidan Heaney earned his 100th career win at UNCW.Heaney trails only Calvin Lane for UNCW's all-time record with 129 victories.

Bonner Honored As CAA Rookie of the Week
Colin Bonner earned UNCW's second straight CAA Rookie-of-the-Week award on Oct. 8, joining Nathaniel Goodwin who was honored on Oct. 1. [Story]

The Panthers, who are in their final season of play in the CAA, have dropped six of their last seven with a 2-1 win at William & Mary ... GSU has managed just 14 goals, including five in their last seven games ... Alex Vivanco leds GSU with five goals and 11 points ... Defensively, the Panthers have allowed 1.82 goals per game ... In non-conference common opponents, Ga. State dropped a 3-0 decision at Duke ... The Panthers edged the Seahawks, 1-0, last season on their way to an appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Colonial Athletic Association
UNCW was picked in a tie for eighth with Hofstra in the 12-team circuit in a vote of the league's coaches (story). The CAA sent four teams to the NCAA tournament including conference champion Delaware, who claimed the league title for the first time. Joining the Blue Hens in the 48-team tournament were Old Dominion, James Madison and Georgia State. ODU was picked by the league's coaches to win the conference title and received nine of a possible 11 first-place votes. James Madison received one vote and was second followed by defending champion Delaware. William & Mary and Northeastern rounded out the top five.
