CAA Player of the Week Nominee

Nathaniel Goodwin (Freshman, Forward, Huntersville, N.C./Hough)

- Led the Seahawks with a goal and an assist as UNCW posted wins over Duke and Hofstra. Against Duke, He assisted on Jamie Dell's game winner in the 84th minute as the Seahawks rallied in the final 10 minutes for a 2-1 win over the Blue Devils. Goodwin then notched his second goal of the season to give the Seahawks the lead in the 83rd minute of a 3-2 win over visiting Hofstra.

Also scoring in the Duke contest was sophomore Mateo Cardona, who drew the Seahawks even with a penalty kick ... Against Hofstra, Michael Recchia, a senior defender, notched the game-winner with three seconds on the clock, it was his first career goal ... Freshman goalkeeper Sam Williams made a pair of saves on the week in picking up the wins in his first two career starts ... Also scoring against Hofstra was Jacob VanCompernolle ... The Seahawks, who are 2-3 on the road this season, visit William & Mary and Drexel this week.

William & Mary (2-6-2, 0-1-1 CAA) - The Tribe, like the Seahawks, has played a very difficult non-conference schedule that includes Butler, St. John's, Creighton and Elon ... W&M has posted a mark of 0-4-1 in its last five matches following a 3-0 home loss to Drexel ... During that five-game span, the Tribe has scored just three goals ... Ben Anderson leads the W&M squad with eight points on two goals and a team-leading four assists ... Chris Albiston and Marcus Luster are tied with Anderson for the team lead with two goals ... Bennett Jones has played every minute for the Tribe in goal and has fashioned a 1.33 goals against average and made 39 saves..

Drexel (6-2-1, 2-0-0 CAA) - The Dragons have raced out to a 6-2-1 overall record, including wins over nationally-ranked Old Dominion and William & Mary ... Drexel has outscored opponents, 9-2, in its last three matches since a 2-0 loss at Virginia ... The Dragons host Northeastern on Wednesday before welcoming the Seahawks to Vidas Field on Saturday ... Fabio Machado has eight points to his credit to lead the DU program, including a team-high four assists ... Nathan Page and Michele Patais both have a team-leading three goals.
