DAUFUSKIE ISLAND, South Carolina - Payne McLeod carded a team-low 74 as UNCW moved into seventh place with a solid second round on Monday at the Rees Jones Invitational at the Haig Point Club in Daufuskie Island, S.C.

The Seahawks opened the tournament with a 309, but shaved six strokes off that total in the second round and stand seventh, three shots behind Kennesaw State.

Ryan Nagy paced the Seahawks with a round of 74 in the first round.

"We made some mistakes today," said UNCW Head Coach Matt Clark. "But we finished strong and need to look to build upon that tomorrow. We have a chance to move up the leaderboard."
