Jamie Dell
(Sophomore, midfielder, Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill)
- Led the Seahawks with three shots, two on goal, in UNCW's
2-0 setback at George Mason in the CAA opener for both sides.
CAA Rookie of the Week Nominee
Sam Williams (Freshman,
Fayetteville, N.C./Fayetteville Academy)
- Made his collegiate debut in the Seahawks' conference
opener. Williams finished with four saves and allowed one goal in 55 minutes.
Notes: The
Seahawks enter the week having dropped their last three outings following a 2-0
setback at nationally-ranked George Mason ... UNCW is 0-2 against nationally-ranked
opponents following a 4-2 loss earlier this season ... Jamie Dell leads the squad
with 17 shots on the season, as well as a team-leading nine on target ... Dell's
tied with Colin Bonner and Mateo Cardona for the team lead with two goals
apiece ... Seven different Seahawks have scored a goal this season ... Michael
