WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Head men's golf coach Matt Clark has announced the release of UNCW's schedule for the 2012-13 season, a slate that includes the third annual Seahawk Intercollegiate and four tournaments in North and South Carolina.

The Seahawks, who have advanced to the NCAA tournament three of the last four years, open their fifth season under the direction of Clark with the UNC Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.

UNCW begins a busy month of October with an appearance at the Daufuskie Island Intercollegiate in Daufuskie Island, S.C., on Oct. 1-2. That tournament begins a string of four tournaments in the month that includes the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic (Oct. 7-9), Bank of Tennessee Ridges Intercollegiate (Oct. 12-14) and the Wolf Pack Intercollegiate on Oct. 19-20.

The Seahawks open the spring portion of their schedule with the first of consecutive west coast tournaments at the 16th Del Walker Intercollegiate, hosted by Long Beach State, on Feb. 24-25. Gonzaga will host the Bandon Dunes Intercollegiate on Mar. 8-10, in Bend, Ore.

UNCW returns home for the Seahawk Intercollegiate (Mar. 24-25) and will wrap up the regular season on Apr. 6-7, at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Charlotte, N.C.

St. James Plantation, in Southport, N.C., will serve as host for the 2013 Colonial Athletic Association Championships, a tournament the Seahawks enter as the two-time defending champion.
