WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Freshman designated hitter Corey Dick has been named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America by Collegiate Baseball after helping the UNCW to its third Colonial Athletic Association tournament title and a fifth appearance in the NCAA Baseball Championship.
Dick started 50-of-58 games played as a rookie and finished the season hitting .302 with eight homers, third on the team, and 35 runs batted in. He added 11 doubles and a triple in compiling a .508 slugging average which ranked fourth in the lineup.
Dick also earned a spot on the CAA's All-Rookie squad and the eight Seahawk all-time to be named to a Freshman All-America squad since 2002.
