UNCW Head Coach Adell Harris announced the addition of former Tusculum assistant Ross Jolly to her staff as an assistant coach on Friday
WILMINGTON, North Carolina - UNCW women's basketball coach Adell Harris has announced the hiring of former Tusculum assistant Ross Jolly to her new staff.

Jolly joins the Seahawks as an assistant coach, where he will aid in recruiting, player development, scouting and film exchange. He will also serve as director for the Adell Harris basketball camps.

"I am extremely happy to have Ross joining our staff here at UNCW," said Harris, who was named head coach on May 3. "His passion and work ethic will assist us in executing our goals of becoming a championship program. In our short time together, Ross has been a source of advice, support, knowledge & more importantly friendship. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for both of us here at UNCW."

Jolly follows Harris from Tusculum after spending the 2011-12 season on her staff at the Greenville, Tenn., school. He helped guide the Pioneers to a 17-11 overall mark and victories over defending DII national champion and top-ranked Clayton State and 2012 NCAA Champion Shaw as the program earned the school's fifth straight NCAA Southeast Regional berth.

"I am very excited for the opportunity to continue my coaching career here at UNCW," said Jolly. "Coach Harris is a winner, and I look forward to playing a role in bringing championships to Wilmington."

Prior to his time at Tusculum, Jolly served as a manager with the Chattanooga women's basketball program for four seasons. The Mocs posted an 82-37 overall record, three Southern Conference championships, two SoCon Tournament titles and appeared in a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances under head coach Wes Moore.  Jolly graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chattanooga in 2011.

A native of Sparta, Tenn., Jolly comes from a family with a steep basketball tradition. His sister, Kellie Harper, was a three-time national champion at Tennessee under hall-of-fame coach Pat Summitt and currently serves as Head Coach at NC State. His brother, Brent, is an assistant with the men's program at Chattanooga.
